DMS offers solvent-based coating solutions for beverage metal can packaging. The product portfolio is developed for two-piece beverage cans, monoblock beverage cans, caps, and three-piece cans. Our solvent-based inner and outer varnishes are formulated to meet the process requirements of different beverage categories such as carbonated beverages, energy drinks, hot-filled beverages, pasteurized products, milk, and tea.
Solvent-based inner varnishes preserve the beverage’s aroma, prevent odor and taste degradation due to metal interaction, and support post-filling product stability. The outer surface coatings provide high print quality, gloss, slipperiness, and color stability. Surface smoothness, design accuracy, and process performance, critical to global brand requirements, are meticulously maintained.
In three-piece systems, the body and cap structures, produced from lacquered and decorated tinplate, are supported by solvent-based inner and outer varnishes. High slipperiness is ensured on the outer surfaces to maintain flow in filling lines; long-term durability and barrier performance are targeted at welded body seams.
In capping processes, solvent-based special coating products are applied to both the inner and outer surfaces. These coatings are designed to withstand temperatures, fungicides, and post-processing handling during processes such as pasteurization, hot filling, and chemical contact.
Our coatings, developed for two-piece cans in the beverage industry, provide excellent protection on both the inner and outer surfaces, ensuring the taste, freshness, and stability of the product.
Our versatile coating systems, suitable for a variety of beverage and food applications, meet technical requirements for hygienic surfaces, easy-open lids, and similar functional features.
